I use it for my Lodge skillet. It fits the skillet well. I do not use kitchen towel to wrap the handle of the skillet anymore.

Cute and functional! They certainly beat the old potholder I had wrapped around the handle of our beloved cast iron pan until I finally found these. ;) But my boyfriend keeps catching them on fire -- and not because he lacks experience at the stove. He's a far better cook than I am. I think he's just got the flame too high on the gas burners, but perhaps it's worth noting.

This is my first one-star review on Amazon. (I hope I don't have any more!)

The holders were helpful, but are NOT flame-retardant!!!

I tried one, and it caught on fire while I just had my back turned. It was not over the flame (and I used it on a larger skillet). I threw the holder away, thinking it could have been defective, and it happened to a 2nd one.

Why would they NOT be flame retardant???

I've bought and used this product. Like it so much that I've bought it and given as a gift several times. This a great idea for a pot holder especially for people in small spaces like boats and RVs and apts.
