If you're not sure which size dutch oven to go with and you plan on making meals for a family or bulk meals with leftovers, this is a perfect size to use. Meals come out tender and moist and stay warm long after the pot is out of the oven. Lodge is good quality and Amazon seems to be the best bargin - especially when you factor in free shipping & no tax. It's a good basic home chef investment and the coffee brown color is nice and neutral too.Customer Review: Great Ovenware

I bought this dutch oven along with the Le Creuset knob for the lid as I thought that I might have a need for one rated at a higher temperature. I have had the dutch oven about three weeks and have used it five or six times. It is great to cook in as it browns meat without sticking. I have used it more than my slow cooker lately and I love it. I would not hesitate to buy another. Great price! Customer Review: The Lodge Ducth Oven.. nobody does it better:)

I LOVE my new Lodge Dutch ovens!! I also own La Creuset enameled cast iron cookware. Lodge is EVERY bit the quality at a much more reasonable price, with a lifetime warranty. I am so glad I found Lodge here on Amazon.com

I love this dutch oven. It's not only beautiful, but it cooks evenly too. I haven't had any trouble with the porcelain finish chipping like others have complained about with other brands. I purchased this Dutch Oven when I read a review stating this comes from a little company in the USA. When I received the box it stated made in China. I called the company and they said that all their Enameled Dutch Ovens come from China. This is a big concern since there has been issues with China's lead addition to their paints. We've addressed this issue to some extent with Children toys manufactured in China but I am hesitant to believe that all their addition of lead in other products have been eliminated.
